Winter Poetry Jam -- Open Mic

The Winter Poetry Jam welcomes all student and community writers. Writers may perform up to five minutes of their poetry, flash fiction, or short prose. Come read or come listen.

Featuring: Brendan Constantine is a teacher and poet-in-residence at the Windward School in West Los Angeles. He's a former California Poet Laureate, and the author of over half a dozen poetry collections.

American Indian Heritage Month Display

American Indian Heritage Month is celebrated every November in the U.S. You can view a display of over 60 books and videos by and about American Indians in the display case inside the front doors of the Library Learning Resources building. Subjects covered include history, biography, literature, art, sociology, and anthropology.
