TWO NEW LIBRARY DISPLAYS

There are two new displays in the case just inside the front doors of Library Learning Resources (LLR.)

Constitution Day is Monday, September 17th.  The west side of the case houses a display of books and other materials related to the United States Constitution and the founding of the nation.

The east side of the display case features a display for Hispanic Heritage Month, which begins on Saturday, September 15th and ends on Monday, October 15th.  In addition to books celebrating the achievements and culture of Hispanic Americans, there is a list of Hispanics who have served or are serving in the U.S. Congress--from Joseph Marion Hernandez (Whig delegate from the territory of Florida in 1822-23) to Robert Menendez (Democrat of New Jersey who began serving in 2009.)

"In the hands of Brendan Constantine, poetry is a weapon.  That much is obvious.  But one never knows, his poems will explode with bullets or flowers because Constantine is both guerrilla fighter and beguiling jester."--Terrance Hayes
