MULTICULTURAL DAY DESIGNS ON DISPLAY

Every year, in conjunction with Multicultural Day, students may submit entries for the Multicultural Day design that will be featured on promotional materials such as posters, flyers, sweatshirts, and T-shirts.  All 31 entries are on display right inside the front doors of the Library.

Congratulations to 1st place winner Nikole Arnold, as well as Shannon Roughan (2nd place) and Marcos Marique (3rd place.)

This year Multicultural Day is on April 15th.

FEBRUARY IS BLACK HISTORY MONTH!

Please visit the west side of the Library's display case (right inside the front doors) to view a display of books celebrating Black History Month.

Black History Month was originally founded as Negro History Week in 1926.  The second week of February was chosen as it included the birthdays of both Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass.  February was designated as Black History Month in 1976.

This is only a small subset of the Library's resources related to the history of various ethnic groups in the United States.  Check the Library's catalogs or our many subscription databases.  If you need assistance, please talk to a Reference Librarian.
